physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is so much more than the specific spot on your body that hurts; rather it’s an interworking of multiple different systems and how they each influence each other in your unique environment. This is why we need to take the microscope away and look at the full picture to actually understand pain and performance issues, and subsequently, treat them appropriately.

Whether you are experiencing limitations from a specific injury, recovering from years of overuse/repetitive stress, or you are looking to achieve a health and wellness goal but don’t know where to start, physiotherapy can be a guide to getting you to where you aspire to be.

Through a thorough history taking and objective assessment, we will identify the contributors to your limitations and determine the driving mechanisms that we can address through manual therapy, exercise, load management, and/or lifestyle modifications. We will establish an end goal, and break it down into tangible steps with objective markers to track progress along the way. I truly believe that the nature of physiotherapy should be a collaborative effort between the therapist and patient, and that you should be an active player in your recovery to ensure lasting and meaningful results.

With a background in treating high performance soccer players, runners, swimmers, hockey players, and dancers, I have a special interest in treating the athletic population, however I love working with anyone who is motivated and determined to make a positive change in their physical health.
